5 must try Rosé wines for this summer

It's summer again! Long, hot days, dreamy evenings, and a cheerful holiday mood.

There are so many great wines out there to try, and it can be hard to know where to start. But don't worry, Love Thy Wine have your back! Roses are popular for summer because they're light, refreshing, and perfect for a hot day. Here are the top 5 wines that we recommend you try this summer.

A French touch
Mathilde Chapoutier Grand Ferrage. Of course, a Provence wine is a must on this list. It is a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, and Vermentino. Its blush pink colour makes it attractive to the eyes and tastes even better on the palate. This is an excellent choice, a dry wine with hints of red fruits, citrus, stone fruit, rose petals, balanced acidity, and best of all, without breaking the bank!

Posh and chic
More than a wine, Born Rosé is a statement and a lifestyle. This brand from Barcelona offers you two choices, still dry (a blend of Grenache and Tempranillo) or bubbly cava (100% Pinot Noir). Its stunning and luxurious packaging catches the eye, and the liquid inside is heavenly. Perfect as a gift or for any party. It doesn't disappoint.

Rooted in tradition
Chivite Colección 125 was released in 1985 to commemorate the 125 anniversary of the winery. Their rosé is a blend of Tempranillo and Grenache. Its vivid and deep salmon colour is typical of the rosés of Navarra. With hints of raspberry, watermelon, vanilla, and oak, and a long silky finish, it is ideal for the season. It ages on its lees 9 to 12 months in oak barrels, making it a perfect choice for cellaring.

The funky choice
Frank Cornelissen's Susucar Rosato might be for you if you're up for something with a twist. It's an unfiltered wine from the Etna region in Italy, with flavours of cranberry, blood orange, grapefruit, liquorice, and hibiscus. Its mouth- watering acidity makes it the perfect aperitif, delicious on any afternoon.

Close to home
British wines are really a thing for several years now. So you definitely can't miss Hush Heath Nanette's English rosé 100% Pinot Noir from Kent (Balfour Winery). On the nose, it brings back to memory the fragrance of the English countryside in the summer. On the palate, red fruits with floral notes and a light body. It's low in alcohol (10,5% AVB), so it is easy to have more than one or two glasses.

These choices are perfect for the summer days ahead and will make the perfect choice for your BBQ, picnics or summer dinner parties! Make sure you check out our Insulated Wine bottle & Tumbler set to ensure your wine is kept at the perfect temperature.
